The film that is an adaptation of the Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley starrer The Fault In Our Stars features Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi in pivotal roles as Kizie and Manny. Back in July 2018, on Twitter, The Fault In Our Stars author John Green tweeted, “I want to see this movie more than I have ever wanted to see any movie.” The author reacted to a news piece that confirmed the making of the film Dil Bechara. John Green re-tweeted a tweet that revealed the first poster of Dil Bechara featuring characters Kizie and Manny. In his tweet, the author mentioned how he is excited to watch the movie and hasn’t been this excited for any other film yet.

Apart from The Fault In Our Stars author John Green, the original cast of the movie, Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley also reacted to the news of the Hindi adaptation. Woodley re-tweeted the report on Twitter and wrote, “okay? @AnselElgort okay,” tagging her co-star Ansel. Asking Ansel if he is okay, too excited about the Hindi adaptation, Elgort re-tweeted and wrote, “ Wow!We are gonna watch this together okay?” In his tweet, the astonied Ansel Elgort mentioned to his co-star Shailene that they have to watch the film together.

Meanwhile, the Hindi adaptation of The Fault In Our Stars is titled Dil Bechara. The film stars late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan. Dil Bechara marks the directorial debut of director Mukesh Chhabra and the acting debut of actress Sanjana Sanghi. The movie Dil Bechara releases worldwide on July 24 on streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar.
